Fantastic cruising holiday....yes definately the fastest way to slow down ! First time for us, we choose the easy route 1 option. Trip to Leeds and back Susie Belle was lovely and very comfortable. It was just so lovely to moor up at the country location of our choosing every evening and enjoy the Stove and some peace and quiet. We stopped off at Skipton and did the Embsay steam railway trip to Bolton Abbey and at Keighley to do the KWVR and Bronte land ! Great walks from the canal side for Little Rosie (Yorkshire Terrier) at Bradley, East Morton and Hirst Wood near Saltaire...which brings us to the model village "fantastic" and trip up Shipley Glen tramway a must.
Make sure you stop off at Esholt (for Emmerdale Farm) on the way to Kirstall Abbey and Leeds for lots of shopping ! We didnt visit many of the numerous canal side pubs on the route, however the Herriots Hotel Skipton is exelent, for Food and good company.
Ok we are fully recharged now with a new outlook to life!
